The job responsibilities of an industrial painter include preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning the area with solvents or sandblasting equipment. They also remove old paint or rust using scrapers and wire brushes. Once the surface is ready for painting, industrial painters mix paints to achieve the desired color and consistency before applying it to the surface using their chosen method. Requirements:

The following are the requirements to apply for industrial products paint within Canada;

Qualifications: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required to join this position

Experience: 7 months less than 1 year of experience in the same field

Languages: English

Duties:

The candidates must perform;

  • Clean work areas after performing daily tasks
  • Organize and maintain the inventory of the company
  • Also, clean and maintain equipment used in industry painting
  • Good communication skills are needed
  • Effective interpersonal & time management skills
  • Select appropriate paint/ mix paints for various industry products
  • Tend or operate equipment to spray or coat to assigned product
  • Apply abrasive disc wheel, and masking methods when trying to perform specific tasks
  • Removing old coating manually before starting to work
  • Deal with construction material/ coatings, wood products, etc
  • Operate equipment to prepare items for the application of protective/ decorative coatings
  • Moreover, check the proper thickness of plating using calipers, micrometers, and other devices
  • Use of brush/ pencil & hand-held spray guns to complete required work
  • Able to paint oil-based and inhibiting coatings etc
